- A lover of music and poetry. I began to seriously write some years ago while at home recuperating from surgery.
- I have been privileged to share poetry in various local venues, including some of the following: Notre’ Maison Tea House “Poetic Sit/Open Mic”; Artscape Poet’s Pavilion; Morgan State University - WEAA’s “Front Page” with Craig Thompson, featured poet of the month; U of MD School of Social Work, Oasis Black History Month Program; Keynote speaker at the Milford Academy, National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) Induction Program.
- Writing is a cathartic journey for me. A gift that is divinely inspired. Some of the poems I’ve written are fun, some are serious, but most of all, they are inspirational, drawn from prayers, meditations and observations about life; reflecting life experiences. All with a message; a message of hope and of never giving up or giving in; no matter the circumstance. My intention is to write poetry that will uplift, edify and inspire. I hope I’ve accomplished that and I will continue to strive to do so.
- Author of soon to be published, “Reflections, From the Heart, a book of poetry."
"If the heart understands, the mind will come to know and comprehend what is the heart of the matter."
